Wood Tales
“Wood Tales” is a cultural project produced by NomadMind (Izmir, Turkey) and Baserriko Artes Sarea (Helette, France), expanding to France and Turkey, with the support of Tandem Turkey Program. Started in August 2016 and lasting one year long, the project focuses on the nomadic Woodcutter Culture, upon the villagers around Kemalpasa region.
Within the scope of the work, Woodcutter, besides being a job, involves a lot of sensitivities and perspectives to grasp the daily life. Additionally, it is treated as a layered and rich culture shaped by a rooted and multi-geographic history.
The results of this multi-disciplinar work and reflections about the process will take place in the exhibition. It is also planned to discuss the production process of a multi-geographic cultural project.
